A telecom operator is looking for a Chief Commercial Officer who will be reporting to CEO and will be responsible for organization of around 1000 people.
The position will be responsible for commercial function including sales, marketing communication, product & analysis, CBM, digital, customer care and customer base management. Defining commercial strategy, executing and overseeing commercial activities. Responsible for budgets, plans and forecast concerning commercial functions.
The successful candidate will be able to:
• Drive and execute the long-term strategy and vision of the company in commercial area with key focus on development of Brand positioning and segmentation, Products/services (core and VAS) development, Distribution/Sales channels, Digital and Consumer Devices
• Manage a fulfillment of main KPI’s of the market plan, organize the sales process according to corporate policy and requirements
• Manage the risks of the commercial activities and assure maximum Company’s products and services on the market following the main directions: Sim-cards, payment cards, payment acceptance outlets, proposals for the corporate clients, VAS-services on the market area
• Organize the process of on-site customer services of the massive area according to the corporate policy and requirements
• Manage to keep market and media planning under control as part of the regional management;
• Participate in national campaigns development, market research and new PR activities management
• Provide quick launch of the new tariffs and services to the market and promote additional services
• Provide efficient interaction between Commercial team and other departments.
The CCO must demonstrate plenty of drive, determination and initiative. While bringing corporate experience, it is important that he or she fits in and likes being part of an open and fast moving environment.

In respect of the candidate profile:
• Any nationality with relevant experience and comfortable with living and working in Kazakhstan will be considered; Prior work experience in Russia, CIS, Baltic, Central-Asia region is advantage
• 35-45 years old, but we will not limit our search by this range;
• Fluent in English and knowledge of Russian are the must;
• University educated, probably in marketing, MBA;
• Min 7 years of management experience in commercial function either in telecommunication or FMCG sectors.
• Experience in telecommunication is preferred, but will not limit search. Preferably with good operational expertise in Sales or Product Development.
• Ability to understand and contribute to the business and create seamless and effective working relationship with other Management Team members (“primus inter pares”) and with strong functional leaders inside the commercial team.
• Ability to take decision in uncertain environment and under pressure
• Perfect communication and presentation skills, fast and efficient execution. Open with communication and ability to motivate and inspire the team.
• Good analytical skills and ability to operate with a lot of figures and data.
