Role Purpose:
Define, develop and implement industry leading B2B sales organizations in each OpCo and facilitate sharing of ideas and best practices among them. Work closely with Regional Marketing team on products and solutions to be sold by each sales team.
Responsible for monitoring monthly/quarterly B2B sales performance against target within each OpCo and agreeing remedial action(s) when necessary to ensure segment KPIs are met.
Role definition and Accountabilities:
• Work with Regional Marketing team to develop and refine suite of B2B products and solutions for adoption across all OpCo’s.
• Develop and refine best practices for Enterprise and SME sales teams in each OpCo.
• Oversee implementation of sales management tools and processes to improve operating efficiency and reporting.
• Co-ordinate budget process for B2B business in each OpCo and monitor performance against budget on a monthly/quarterly basis; oversee improvement plans where necessary.
• Act as conduit to channel feedback from the OpCo’s on market demand for new B2B products and solutions back to Regional management team.
• Monitor opportunities to develop large MNC accounts across multiple group subsidiaries’ market.
• Assist local CEO/HR to develop training and development plans for sales staff within B2B business unit.
• Facilitate adoption of best practice and successful sales activities from one market to the others.
• Periodically review B2B sales commission and incentive plans to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and performance.
• Assist in co-ordination between Vodafone branded markets and Vodafone Global Enterprise (VGE) to maximise returns to the Group OpCo’s.
• Help innovate and develop new products and offerings for the segment.

A important telecom group is looking for his Enterprise & SME Solutions Group Sales Director (permanent job)
Profile:
Candidates being considered will come from a Mobile Network Operator telecoms background (ideally in emerging markets and/or companies experiencing rapid growth), with a proven track record and a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role: including solid experience in B2B Enterprise Selling, Sales Management, Business Development and Strategic Planning.
• Post graduate business or technology related degree from a recognized university
• A self-driven sales leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and approach to business with an intuitive understanding of customers’ needs and buying behavior.
• A self-starter who is equally as comfortable providing high-level strategic guidance to Group as they are at taking a hands-on approach to resolution of a delivery issue for an OpCo.
• Strong leadership qualities with exceptional verbal, written and presentation communication skills and interpersonal capabilities.
• Demonstrable expertise of managing Sales teams and driving them to exceed target.
• Deep knowledge of multi-national companies (MNC’s) with an operational presence in the Group’s markets
• Strong business acumen and a definite strategic thinker who can demonstrate high level of commercial and emotional intelligence.
• Proven high-level influencing and leadership skills able to develop and motivate colleagues remotely in virtual teams.
• Impeccable integrity.
This role requires the right balance of strategic thinking, key-account management, hands-on execution and planning abilities to get things done on time and within budget.
