JOB PURPOSE
To provide subject matter expertise and strategic direction in functions of financial reporting, business planning, Tax
and ensure all franco markets reporting and governance is adhered to as per standards

Group FR Operations Head
Lead OHADA Reporting & Internal Governance Control

To direct accounting policies for the finance function across Franco Opcos within Africa
 Fully conversant with Ohada GAAP provisions.
 Review the IFRS policies and aligns them to be OHADA compliant wherever necessary.
 Draws on own technical/professional knowledge, analysis and experience to identify and ensure resolution of problems within broad policy framework
 Develops and regularly reviews functional policies to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across franco markets
 Builds support among organizational partners for functional initiatives

Work with IT in leading Financial Systems and introduction of technology for key processes
 Ensure standardization of processes
 Review financial systems across Africa

Governance & Control
 Ensure all opcos which require local GAAP accounting (OHADA) are upto date with standards, practices and adhere to all reporting and accounting standards
 Ensure first time right preparation of AFS across opcos through proper supervision and review.
 Release necessary guidelines, wherever necessary, towards AFS preparation.

Audit
 Coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with OHADA accounting policies, relevant accounting standards and other legislations.

Special Projects
 Assistance with Special Projects such as in the preparation of the financial aspects of new business opportunities. This would include preparing a business case that would assess the risks, rewards and financing strategies for key opportunities.

Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
 Fully functional with all aspects of Financial Accounting Software and Microsoft Office software applications required for financial analysis.
 Expert knowledge of OHADA GAAP , both theoretical aspects and practical application of the same towards preparation of Annual financial statements. Excellent working knowledge of tax laws

Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
 Chartered Accountant in any of francophone markets accredited institute
 8 years of experience in technical accounting in Competitor companies or Services industry (OHADA accounting & Reporting)
 Experience in a competitor company (large competitors) or services industry is
(>100mn $ Revenue)

 Team working ability to enable effective interaction with and motivation of other team members, including peers and senior management.
 Ability to set and meet deadlines including a strong ability to manage multiple tasks to completion at the same time.
 Excellent Planning and Organizing Skills. Have a flare for numbers, work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods.
