To provide subject matter expertise and strategic direction in functions of financial reporting, management reporting, business planning, Tax and other strategic financial projects in order to direct related policies for the Finance function.

1. To direct policies for the finance function in the country
• Draws on own technical/professional knowledge, analysis and experience to identify and ensure resolution of problems within broad policy framework
• Develops and regularly reviews functional policies to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across the OpCo
• Builds support among organizational partners for functional initiatives
2. Design and Develop strategy and project evaluation for the following areas
(Working capital management, Financial reporting, Management Reporting, Tax)
• Reviews and monitors effectiveness of processes to ensure development of Annual Operating Plans / 3 year plans across functions
• Reviews merits of certain strategies & communicates acceptance
• Ensures quality of projections through effective policy development
• Develops complex specialist plans for integrated, value-added initiatives and services
• Ensures standardization of processes
• Reviews effectiveness of policies
• Influences and facilitates co-operation and collaboration among own team and organizational partners/customers
3. Work with IT in leading Financial Systems and introduction of technology for key processes
• Develop a Finance Technology and automation strategy
• Ensure standardization of processes
• Review financial systems across the OpCo
• Lead the design, development of the relevant financial systems in the OpCo.
